A collection of Taylor Ann's coursework and professional work
Taylor Ann spent the majority of her time at the University of Memphis studying public relations. There she learned everything from writing press releases and blog posts to crisis management and advocacy. In her capstone course, she had the opportunity to develop a campaign for a local nonprofit.
Social media was an integral part of Taylor Ann's education. Through coursework and lectures, she was able to better understand the ins and outs of social media and then apply it through being the social media editor for The Daily Helmsman. She also worked on several social media teams.
With a minor in journalism, Taylor Ann Carpenter is proficient in media writing and AP Style. Through writing for The Daily Helmsman, a student-run newspaper, and completing a multitude of course work, she honed her skillset. Her stories cover campus activities, COVID-19, administration news, and more.
